I have suffered from severe short sightedness in both my eyes since childhood and in the last few years my right eye has rapidly deteriorated. Karl Whittaker and his team have also been monitoring and controlling the Ocular Hypertension and as both my eyes have recently developed cataracts it was suggested that I had the lenses replaced.
This outpatient operation undertaken by Karl and his team at Barnstaple Hospital has transformed my eyesight. My long distance sight is better than it has been since I was a child and I even get pleasure from being able to see the trees into which I hit my golf ball!
I would just like to thank everyone at the hospital, particularly Karl, for reassuring me that the operation was worth doing and for demonstrating skills I would not have thought possible.
